The Fire Department requires permits to add, modify or remove fire protection systems - prior to beginning work in these areas.
Some examples are:
- adding/removing/relocating devices on all fire sprinkler, alarm or hood suppression systems
- replacing a fire alarm control panel
- changing the communication devices or other components on a fire alarm control panel
- demolition of non-required systems, etc.
