How do I subpoena a Kennewick Police Officer for my contested hearing?
To subpoena a police officer for your hearing, you must fill out the Subpoena Form available at the Benton County District Court and have a judge sign it. You then need to serve a copy of the signed subpoena to the Kennewick City Attorney’s Office and to the Kennewick Police Department for notice.

How do I get a copy of my traffic infraction for my hearing?
You may request discovery on your traffic infraction by supplying written notice to the Kennewick City Attorney’s Office of the documents you need at least 7 days in advance of your hearing. You may submit a letter, an e-mail, or complete the
Discovery Request Form
. Many times the discovery can be provided to you via e-mail when you supply an e-mail address.

Who do I contact about my negotiating my traffic infraction?
The Kennewick City Attorney’s Office does not negotiate traffic infractions.. If you choose to contest your ticket, a prosecutor will be present to represent the City. All other resolutions are between you and the judge on the day of your scheduled hearing. You are required to follow all rules as outlined in the court rules.

How do I request a hearing on my traffic infraction?
Please consult the back of your infraction for further instructions. If you have lost your infraction, you may contact the Benton County District Court for assistance in identifying your case.
