The City of Kennewick complies with all of the requirements set by the State of Washington and the increased efforts to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
These steps are intended to protect our citizens, business owners, inspectors and all city staff.
Effective immediately, our inspectors have the discretion to decline an inspection if the COVID-19 worksite specific safety requirements are not in compliance. If the site is determined to be unsafe, the inspector will fail the inspection and leave a correction notice listing the reason. The contractor can reschedule the inspection once the worksite and all on-site workers are following the Governors and Washington State Department of Labor & Industries General Requirements and Prevention Ideas for Workplaces.
