Columbia Park Voted Best Tourist Spot

POG Newsflash-01

Thank you Tri-Cities for voting Columbia Park the "Best Tourist Spot" in the Tri-City Herald 2018 People's Choice.  Columbia Park is a premier destination located on the Columbia River featuring the Playground of Dreams.  We would like to recognize our dedicated maintenance crew for their passion and hard work.

The Playground of Dreams is an iconic part of the City and a rebuild project is getting underway. One of the first preparation steps is to carefully remove the 1,423 pickets around the playground. These pickets engraved with names of generous donors who helped fund the 2004 playground rebuild after the original structure was destroyed by fire. Volunteers are starting the removal process on June 15th. The pickets can be claimed by their owners through May 2019. Donors will be recognized at new signage at the rebuilt playground. The playground is still open and safe after the pickets have been removed. Please don’t attempt to remove pickets or any part of the playground structure during the rebuild project.

For information on how to claim pickets or for an opportunity to get involved with the Playground of Dreams rebuild by donating or volunteering visit the Playground of Dreams web page.
