Councilman Parish was elected to the City Council in 1996. Paul has lived in the Tri Cities since 1966, and is a native of Benge, WA. Paul worked in the construction industry on various projects to include Snake River Dams, All Craft Superintendent Hanford # 2 Power Plant seven years, retired from Lampson International LLC in 2004 after twenty five years in supervision.Owner of Paul Parish Limited Consultants since 1996. Among other things he has been an advocate for Columbia Park enhancement, Veterans Memorial, Playground of Dreams, 911 Memorial, Carousel of Dreams, Southridge Local Refinance District, Steptoe extension and Bob Olson Parkway. Paul was named 2009 Kennewick Man of the Year. He also received the 2015 Association of Washington Cities Advocacy All-Star award. Paul Served with the US Army 82 Airborne Division 1954 to 1957
