Kennewick benefits from an abundance of sunshine and hot weather. There are several opportunities to keep cool including the Kenneth Serier Memorial Pool, Civic Center Splash Pool, and multiple aquatic splash-pads. The most safe and fun way to cool off this summer is at one of these aquatic areas. All of the aquatics facilities are seasonal and typically open between Memorial Day and Labor Day - weather permitting.
The openings of the Kenneth Serier Memorial Pool and all splash pads are currently delayed in accordance to the Washington State Governor’s office “Safe Start" directives. Reopening of the pool and splash pads is contingent upon state and local health department guidelines. Updates will be announced on Facebook and our website so stay tuned.
The Kennewick Sharks is a recreational swim team for young swimmers who wish to improve their strokes in a fun and competitive atmosphere. Participants compete in swim meets throughout the summer, plus a final championship meet in August.
