Partnership

The program is designed as a partnership among law enforcement, property owners and managers, and residents to help keep drugs and other criminal activity out of residential rental property, thereby maintaining the quality of our communities and neighborhoods.

Safe Communities

The program uses a unique, three part approach that property owners can implement to ensure safe, crime resistant apartment communities for all residents.

This program accomplishes the following goals:

• Teaches Landlords how to recognize and resolve illegal activity on their property.
• Insures the property itself meets certain minimum security requirements.
• Involves working with the residents and keeping them informed of ways to improve their safety and security.
