Message from Parks and Recreation Director Cheryl Bolin
Welcome to the Kennewick Parks, Facilities and Recreation Department where we are committed to providing our residents and visitors an inclusive, sustainable and purposeful system of parks, recreation and open space that creates a sense of community and meets the needs of our vibrant and growing City.
With an average of 300 sunny days per year, we encourage you to visit one of our many parks, trails or outdoor amenities. From our regionally renowned Columbia Park, hosting 4.5 acres of shoreline, access to the historical Sacagawea Heritage Trail and the Playground of Dreams, to our smallest neighborhood park, Jay Perry, you are sure to learn something new, discover a new adventure, or most of all have some fun.
Looking for some organized events or activities? Our award winning Southridge Sports and Events Complex is sure to satisfy your interests. The innovative layout, the centralized fun zone and indoor gymnasium make the complex a perfect venue for community-wide events, sports leagues and local, regional or state tournaments.
Please take a moment to browse through our Activity Guide and enjoy all that is making Kennewick bolder and brighter.
