Finance & Budget

Responsibilities


The Finance Division is responsible for the accounting, treasury functions, budgeting, reporting and fiscal controls of the City, including the water / sewer, stormwater and ambulance utilities. Other functions of the Accounting section include general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, local improvement district accounting, debt management, grant accounting and capital assets.

  1. Budget & Capital Improvement Program (CIP)

    The City of Kennewick prepares a biennial budget, which serves to allocate funding to the City’s programs and services for the next fiscal year.

    The Finance Department is responsible for all of the financial activities pertaining to Local Improvement Districts (LIDs) located within the City of Kennewick.
