On January 24, 2011 at the Planning Commission's Pre-decision meeting, the Planning Commission recommended approval of Bridge to Bridge / River to Railroad Subarea Plan to City Council.
The City Council was briefed on the implementation measures related to the plan on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in the Council's regular workshop. The plan was put on hold to evaluate development plans that were being prepared by the Port of Kennewick at the time.
Since then, the City and the Port have partnered on the Port's development plans for the area around Duffy's Pond located between N Washington St./Clover Island Dr. and the Cable Bridge.
