Project Description

This project will add both a southbound and northbound lane to Columbia Center Boulevard (CCB) from Quinault Ave to Deschutes Ave.  At project completion, CCB will have three (3) lanes in each direction through the main section of the corridor. CCB is one of Kennewick’s main arterial streets and is listed as a T-1 Freight Corridor that runs directly adjacent to the Columbia Center Mall and Vista Park. Columbia Center Blvd. is, in terms of traffic volume the busiest corridor in the City of Kennewick.  This corridor serves the existing Columbia Center Mall, Costco, Toyota Center and Three Rivers Convention Center.   CCB experiences high traffic volumes continuously throughout the day with a weekday Average Daily Traffic (ADT) of 23,861. Expected traffic volumes on this corridor will increase significantly due to the additional significant developments coming on line which include the Vista Field Redevelopment which is under construction, and Three Rivers Entertainment Development which is in the planning stages.
