How to schedule...
Building inspections can be scheduled online by using the City’s Online Permitting Scheduler or by calling the permit counter at 509-585-4561.
How to prepare...
Site address must be clearly visible from the street
Ensure an adult (18 or older) is present to allow access
Ensure pets are secured away
Do not cover or conceal construction areas that require a permit
Ensure adequate illumination of areas for inspection
Provide an approved ladder if roof or attic access is required
Ensure pathways are free of obstructions
Ensure electric panels/boxes are accessible
Provide secured and fastened scaffolding, if necessary
When applicable, approved plans or manufacturer installation instructions must be made available

Building inspections may be cancelled by using the City’s Online Permitting Scheduler. If your cancellation is within 24 hours of your scheduled inspection call 509-585-4561.
